Steven Jacobson "Wonderbread J"
Steven was raised in the Washington, DC area (Northern Virginia) and began DJing at age 17. With a love for hip-hop and R&B, Steven began DJing small house parties, school events, and church dances. He was given the DJ name "Wonderbread J" by friends as a term of endearment connotating his "Caucasian Ethnicity" and his skills on the turntables. While in college at Longwood University, he began to diversify his music and supplemented his limited college budget doing sorority/fraternity events, house parties, dances, and other college on-campus events. After graduating with his Master's in Counseling from Longwood in 1997, he took out a loan for $3,000 to start Metromixers DJs, a small mobile DJ company specializing in Weddings, Private Events, and Charitable events. In 2001 Steven went back to school at Oklahoma State University and for the next five years lived off of DJing clubs, weddings, private parties, and campus events. After graduating with his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, Wonderbread J took on a job with Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, as a Counseling Psychologist in August of 2006. Now in Georgia, Steven has joined forces with local talent Keith Arnett (DJ AOK) to form Do Good DJs, with the mission to pursue music and entertainment, while giving back to the community.
